Refund & Cancellation Policy

This page explains how cancellations and refunds are handled for MadeByMotion projects. It does not remove any mandatory rights you have under Greek or EU consumer law. Questions: madebymotion@hotmail.com.

No online checkout

  • Nothing can be bought directly on this website. There is no shop, no checkout and no automatic payment.
  • Work starts only after a written quote or project agreement, so the applicable cancellation, deposit and payment terms are given to you in writing before you pay anything.

Consumers: 14-day right of withdrawal

  • If you are a consumer and we agree a service at a distance (for example entirely by email or phone), you may have a 14-day right to withdraw from the agreement, starting the day it is concluded.
  • If you expressly ask me to start work during that 14-day period, and you then withdraw, you may owe a proportionate amount for the work already carried out up to the moment you told me.
  • Where the law allows it, the right of withdrawal can end once the service has been fully performed, but only if you gave your express prior consent for performance to begin and acknowledged that you would lose the right of withdrawal on completion. That confirmation is requested in writing before work begins.
  • To withdraw, send a clear statement by email to madebymotion@hotmail.com.

Business clients

  • If you are contracting as a business, the withdrawal right for consumers does not apply. Cancellation, deposits and any amounts due follow the written project agreement.

Deposits and work in progress

  • Where a deposit is agreed, its treatment on cancellation is set out in the written agreement before payment.
  • If a project is cancelled part way through, the amount due reflects the work actually completed up to that point.

Third-party costs

  • Approved third-party costs that cannot be recovered — for example domain registrations, hosting fees, paid plugins, stock assets and advertising spend already used on Meta or another platform — are not refundable.
  • These costs are always identified and approved in writing before they are incurred.

How refunds are paid

  • Where a refund is owed, it is paid using the same payment method you used, unless we expressly agree otherwise and it costs you nothing.
  • Refunds are made without undue delay and within the time limits required by law.

If something is wrong with the work

  • If a deliverable does not match what was agreed in writing, tell me and I will correct it as agreed in the project terms.
  • Your statutory rights regarding faulty or non-conforming services remain unaffected.

  • As a consumer you can also use the consumer dispute mechanisms available to you in Greece or in your EU country of residence.
